Principal ¦ EDA Architecture
As a principal of EDA Architecture Inc. Mr. Davignon has more than 30 years of experience in the
building design and construction industry. His experience encompasses all phases of projects in many different construction types, delivered
through varying methods. Kevin's successful projects range from single and multi-family residential to small and large scale commercial developments.
Commercial project types include medical, educational, retail, office and assembly buildings and arenas. His experience with building systems includes
wood, steel and concrete frame, pre-engineered and tilt-up construction. This experience is enhanced by his knowledge of alternate building methods used
in sustainable building design. Kevin believes in an organic approach to solving design problems, resulting in natural solutions borne from a pragmatic, and often methodical,
understanding of a client's needs and desires. Designs not necessarily forced to conform to a given style or set of pre-determined circumstances.
Listening to a client, acknowledging their desires and designing to budgets, embodies Kevin's definition of 'architect'. Key to Kevin's organic
approach is a strong desire to build sustainably, create healthy interiors and lessen the impact on the environment. Kevin is a registered Architect in the State of New York whose career has included employment with area organizations such as: John
Ireland, Architects, Kosinski Associates, The Design Forum Inc., and The van Summern Group. He was a founding partner in the firm 'Partners for Architecture'.
Positions held throughout his career include drafter, CAD technician, code compliance technician, project captain, designer, project manager, director of
production and principal. Kevin sits on the City of West Haven Energy Commission where he is authoring a comprehensive report on the City's Energy Consumption and
reducing its carbon footprint. |
